The New Jersey state government has warned that 350,000 New Jerseyans could lose their insurance benefits due to Medicaid cuts under President Donald Trump\u2019s massive tax cut law.<\/p>\n

The state Department of Human Services expressed concern that \u201cthe federal government\u2019s Medicaid budget cuts will result in a loss of $3.6 billion for New Jersey\u2019s $24 billion Medicaid program budget,\u201d and \u201cNew Jersey taxpayers\u2019 burden will increase, and it will be more difficult to receive medical services.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adults between the ages of 19 and 64 will need to prove that they have worked or volunteered at least 80 hours per month or enrolled in an education program to maintain their Medicaid enrolment.
